NOTE TO ALL ENTRANTS: Remi Award Nominees will be posted
in Late March 2011.
If
you have been informed that you have won an award at WorldFest
and do not see your film/video listed here, it is because
the screening committee reviews all the top award winners
and selects just the 104 shorts that will be screened to
the festival audience, you can still win.
We
cannot screen all the winners due to very firm time and
theater limitations. We only just two Digital Theaters,
so only 2/3 of the selections can be digital. Not being
screened does not affect your Remi Award honors in any way.
Your
entry was screened for the International Jury and the Houston
Film Society. Our congratulations on your award, and our
apologies that we cannot screen all the award winners. (For
example - We have never shown the Best Medical Film!) It
is really the honor of the Remi Awards that matter.
With
more than 4,500 entries in all categories, only around 10-15
percent are winners in WorldFest, so our congratulations!
